Bedridden
This expressive textile collection is made to symbolise recovery through botanical elements. Looking at the word ‘Bedridden’, I concluded that bedridden doesn’t necessarily mean death; it can also mean resting your body, giving it much-needed time to heal itself. It’s a journey to recovery. All of my designs are formed of both flowers and herbs that have been used in medicine, and some that are still used today. Theses include: Wild strawberries, Poppy, Sweet Woodruff, Royal Penny and Daisy. The poppy was designed for a cushion, though it can be scaled up to fit on a duvet. The intended purpose of these designs are for Interior, specifically for bedroom and communal living areas. All designs can be scaled up or down for fashion wear.
